“SY Crux” in Knysna Lagoon

This beaut – designed by Simonis Voogd, inspired by the Harveys, original builders of the Gunboat – Similar to Chris White and Gunboat designs with a forward cockpit – It’s good to be back in boat building – and it was good to slot in at the high-end full-carbon projects after my sojourn in the USA (one of only two carbon projects in SA at the time)… the rewards of seeing your work on the water is indescribable.

“MY Zeepaard” in NYC

I was chief engineer on this grand vessel for two seasons – great vessel, great crew and great owner – she turns heads wherever she goes. As an expedition yacht, there is a lot more to her than meets the eye.

“SY Meteor” in West Palm

I worked temporarily on this beaut – built by Royal Huisman and lovingly looked after, Meteor is an artwork.

“MY Amor Azure II” on the hard at LMC

45.5m’s of superyacht – my first foray into the big boat business. Palmer Johnson … one of the big jobs in her day.

A Tag 60 in full flight

‘Stardust’ flying a hull off Palma … a boat speed of 30 knots – This was by far the most challenging project I have ever tackled … and the most satisfying.

Tag 60 hull plug under construction

Early stages … from day one I dreamed of seeing her on the water …

Go-Fast in the ICW

🙂 Only in ‘Murica!

“S/Y Aliwe” RCC 53′

Lying in Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas, USVI’s – bit of a dog if you asked me … but huge space and a good charter platform, if it could sail!

“S/Y Knot-Anchored” Leopard 46′

Fun in the sun in the BVI’s – “Everything keeps going right!” Robertson & Caine boats may not be the best, but they do the charter job the best. (Hope she is still afloat after ‘Irma’ … she is such a comfortable boat)
